Subscription lifecycle

Pause, renew or cancel

  1. Open the subscription and review its status, sold term, Billing Ledger and Audit Trail. Available Pause and Resume controls depend on current status; Cancel At Term End is hidden when already selected.
  2. Pause stops recurring billing without extending the term. Resume uses the stored schedule and recalculates status from term and grace dates, so an expired term may not become Active.
  3. Renew opens a selector for Week, Fortnight, Month, Quarter, Half Year, Year or Lifetime (20 years). Confirm Renew to add a period. If the term is no longer active, the new period starts today.
  4. Cancel At Term End schedules the stop at the sold term end. Cancel Now sets the end date to today, marks it cancelled and cancels pending billing cycles. Read the confirmation before proceeding.
  5. Inspect the resulting status, dates, audit trail and contact timeline. Renew and Cancel invoke CRM workflows after the service call even if it returns an error; check the record and workflow effects before retrying.

For Example Co, pause a subscription while work is suspended and check the unchanged sold term. If resuming after expiry, review the resulting status and consider whether renewal is needed instead of assuming the term was extended.
