Don’t just collect feedback, get leads instead

Many times I came across a question “What are the best feedback collection widget for website?” and I always wonder whether one should focus on how their website looks and feels to a customer or focusing on generating more leads.

One would argue getting feedback from the website visitor is like lead and if your argument is also the same then you are actually losing many of your leads.

Why so? Because when somebody is giving you a feedback then it is not necessary that he is also going to give you complete and correct contact details because everyone know what would be the next step for the company. The user will be bombarded with the calls, emails and text messages. So even if I am giving you a true to the heart feedback about your product, I may not give you my correct contact details or at least the details where you can reach to me.

Certainly, you can do wonders with constructive feedback from the user but is that all you wanted to do… build a most interactive and customer friendly product without any user to use it or sell it to?

I am 100% sure not a single entrepreneur would say I don’t want any customer for my SaaS product. Everyone need more users who are actually paying you. So why to waste the golden opportunity of getting a business lead and turn it to a feedback, which may not be useful for you in generating any revenue?

The one aim, which every website should have is to motivate the website visitor to fill the contact form with his requirement. Once customer giving you his requirement then you can be  certain that it’s a pure inbound business lead with 80% more chance of getting converted into paying customer.

Everyone loves a great website design and ultimately everyone focuses on that when planning his business but sometimes great designs won’t get you any business leads. You have to work very hard with your website designers to put Call-to-Action buttons at the right place or you can use tools/widgets, which can convert your website elements into Call-to-Action buttons dynamically depending upon the user behaviour on your site.

Great website design is must have for your successful ventures but more than that you need a website, which actually gives you leads or signups.
